Isaac Newton

Born in 1643 in Woolsthorpe, England, Sir Isaac Newton began developing his theories on light, calculus and celestial mechanics while on break from Cambridge University. Years of research culminated with the 1687 publication of "Principia," a landmark work that established the universal laws of motion and gravity.

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was a German mathematician and physicist who developed the special and general theories of relativity. In 1921, he won the Nobel Prize for physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. In the following decade, he immigrated to the U.S. after being targeted by the German Nazi Party.

Elon Musk

Elon Musk is a South African-born American entrepreneur and businessman who founded X.com in 1999 (which later became PayPal), SpaceX in 2002 and Tesla Motors in 2003. Musk became a multimillionaire in his late 20s when he sold his start-up company, Zip2, to a division of Compaq Computers.

Alan Turing

Alan Turing was born June 23, 1912 in London, England and died June 7, 1954, in Wilmslow, Cheshire, British mathematician and logician who made major contributions to mathematics, cryptanalysis, logic, philosophy, and mathematical biology and also to the new areas later named computer science, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, and artificial life.

Aryabhatta

Aryabhatta was the first mathematician, astronomer and scientist of India who created or discovered the number zero, the place value system, algebraic identities, trigonometrical functions, the value of pi, the shape of the solar system and the whole concept of rotation and revolution of planets.

Srinivasa Ramanujan

Srinivasa Ramanujan was a famous Indian mathematician who lived during the British rule in India. He was born on December 22nd, 1877. He was not a formal mathematician but made contributions to the factorial function, number theory, and continued fractions. He also solved many unsolvable mathematical problems.

Bill Gates

Bill Gates is a technologist, business leader, and philanthropist. He grew up in Seattle, Washington, with an amazing and supportive family who encouraged his interest in computers at an early age. He dropped out of college to start Microsoft with his childhood friend Paul Allen. Today, Bill co-chairs the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with Melinda French Gates, where he works to give his wealth back to society.
